2017 Nissan Rogue Tail Light Bulb Replacement: A Comprehensive Guide

Today on Mechanic, we’re going to walk through the process of replacing the tail light/brake light on a 2019 Nissan Rogue.

We’ve already removed the two bolts, and then you’re going to have to wiggle and jostle this quite a bit to get it to come out for the first time. Then, you get access to the top brake light.

To replace the brake light, twist it a quarter turn to the left and pull it out to access the light bulb. The replacement bulb needed is a 7443, which has a double element compared to the 7440 used for the blinker, which only has one element. Press the new bulb to snap into place, line it up, quarter turn to the right, and tighten it in. Finally, place the light back on, tighten the two bolts, and you’re all set!

Thanks for watching Mechanic, where you can be the mechanic.
