P0183 Ford: Understanding and Troubleshooting Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit High Input

Welcome back to the Focus Crew! In today’s episode, we’ll be addressing the P01083 and P0093 fuel temperature sensor issue in the 2005 Ford Focus ST. When starting the car, I’ve noticed it’s difficult to start. After diagnosing the problem, our simple solution today is to replace the pressure sensor.

The first step is to open the engine bay and locate the pressure sensor regulator on top of the fuel rail. We’ll be replacing this to resolve the issue. Before doing so, we need to start the car and get it running. To do this, I’ll access the fuse box and pull the number 15 amp fuse to shut off the car.

One of the symptoms of a faulty pressure sensor is a hard start, which is what I’ve been experiencing. By changing out the fuel pressure switch, I hope to rectify this issue. After shutting off the car, I’ll replace the fuse to prevent the car from re-pressurizing and causing any fuel leakage.

With the sensor now changed, it’s time to restart the car and see if that fixed the problem. After the replacement, the car sounds much better, and the check engine light is off. It’s essential to ensure that no other issues arise with the engine or fuel system.

It looks like the replacement of the fuel pressure regulator has resolved the problem. If you encounter a similar issue with your Focus, I recommend trying this fix. If the problem persists, further diagnosis may be necessary.
