Hello everyone, today I’m going to show you how to remove and replace a cabin air filter on a 2009 Honda Civic.
The cabin air filter is located behind the glovebox. To access it, open the glovebox and then pull one side down followed by the other side to completely drop the glovebox. The cabin air filter is located right behind it.
Once you locate the filter, you’ll see a tab that needs to be pushed to release the filter. The air filter will slide right out. Once removed, you can replace it with a new filter. The new filter has two sides, and the harder sides go on the sides of the housing, not the front or back.
After installing the new filter, slide it back in and ensure it clips into place. Finally, push the glovebox back in place, and you’re all set.
Replacing the cabin air filter is crucial as the outside air passes through this filter before entering the passenger compartment. Ensuring clean air is essential for your well-being and the longevity of your vehicle.
