Hello, my name is Anthony. Welcome to the channel. This is going to be a short demonstration on how to reset the oil service reminder in a 2017 Ford Transit.
We are located inside the vehicle now. I’ve got the key, this one has a key blade. So you’ll just insert the key and switch it to the on position. If you have a push to start, you’ll just push the start stop button one time.
You’ll clear through the messages by hitting okay, and then once all the messages are away, you can push and hold both the brake and the gas pedal all the way to the floor. It will say “service oil reset in progress” and you will simply hold it until it says it’s complete. It takes anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds.
Alright, oil reset complete. You can go ahead, let off, and then you can go ahead and key on engine off the vehicle just to verify that the message doesn’t return.
