Mastering Maintenance: Changing the 2018 Hyundai Elantra Cabin Air Filter

Today, I’m going to show you a simple DIY method for changing the cabin air filter in a 2018 Hyundai Elantra. This maintenance task is essential for ensuring clean air inside your car and can be easily done at home.

First, open your glove box and remove all the items from it. On the right side of the glove box, you’ll find a small black piece that needs to be popped out. Then, inside the glove box, remove two little black pieces on each side. This will allow the glove box to come right down.

After lowering the glove box, you’ll see a black part where the filter is located. There are two clips that need to be pushed in to remove the cover and reveal the filter.

Once you have the filter exposed, remove it and compare it to the new one. You’ll likely notice a significant difference in cleanliness, highlighting the importance of this maintenance task.

When inserting the new filter, ensure that the airflow arrow is pointing downwards. This simple step will guarantee proper functionality of the filter.

And that’s it! You have successfully changed the cabin air filter in your Hyundai Elantra, improving the air quality inside your car.
