Are you driving a 2019 Honda Civic and need to reset the oil life? It’s easy to do, and I’ll walk you through the steps.
The first thing to note is that I’m using a 2019 Honda Civic with around 2192 miles. If you’ve just had an oil change and the mechanic asked you to start the car, you’ll want to find out the exact oil life percentage.
Here’s how to do it:
- Locate the trip button, which is typically found on the odometer display.
- Press the trip button until you see the oil life percentage displayed on the screen. This may take a few presses, but you’ll eventually see the oil life percentage.
- Once you see the oil life percentage, press and hold the trip button until the oil life indicator starts flashing.
- While the indicator is flashing, press and hold the trip button again until the oil life is reset to 100%.
And that’s it! Your oil life should now be reset to 100%, indicating that your oil change has been registered in the Civic’s system.
