Nissan Versa Key Fob Battery: Your Comprehensive Replacement Guide

In this video, I’ll demonstrate the steps to replace the battery in a Nissan Versa key fob. There are different versions of this device, but the process is the same for all of them. You’ll need a flathead screwdriver and a CR2032 battery.

If you need to purchase a new battery, you can find them at a good price on Amazon via the link in the description.

To begin, flip the key over, hold down the switch on the back, and pull out the internal key. Look for an opening in the plastic on the bottom of the device. Use a flathead screwdriver to push and twist until you hear it click open. Work your way down to separate the two halves.

Next, use the flathead screwdriver to pry the old battery out and replace it with a new CR2032 battery. Make sure the positive side with the plus sign is facing down and push it into place.

Once the new battery is inserted, click the two halves of the device back together. Finally, reinsert the internal key and you’re done!
