If you’re having trouble unlocking your radio with your Honda Accord or another Honda model, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. To get started, you’ll need a few key pieces of information.
First, make sure you have your VIN number, the phone number that the car was registered to, and the zip code. If you’re unsure about your VIN number, you can usually find it on the dashboard or in your car’s registration.
When you encounter the error code, don’t panic. This is a common issue, and I’ll guide you through the process to resolve it.
To retrieve the serial number of your car, simultaneously press the 1 and 6 buttons along with the power button. This will display the code you need to proceed further. Once you have the code, you can proceed to unlock your radio.
In some cases, the code may be provided on your anti-theft card, but if you encounter an issue like mine, you can find the code online. Once you have the code, you can cancel out the error and proceed with unlocking your radio.
Now, if you’ve faced a situation where the radio displayed the error due to the battery being cranked for 15 minutes or more, not to worry. Simply obtain the code online and proceed with entering it to unlock your radio.
Voila! Your radio is now unlocked. Remember, the code may differ for each individual, so ensure you have your VIN number and the code from your radio, along with the zip code it was registered to.
Now that your radio is unlocked, you may notice that your presets have been reset, but that’s a minor inconvenience compared to having your radio back in action.
