Hello, my name is Anthony, and in this demonstration, I’ll show you how to reset the oil service reminder in a 2017 Ford Transit. Follow these simple steps to reset the reminder and ensure your vehicle is properly maintained.
We are inside the vehicle now. If your Ford Transit has a key blade, insert the key and switch it to the on position. If it has a push-to-start system, simply push the start/stop button once. Clear through any messages by pressing “OK.”
Once the messages are cleared, press and hold both the brake and the gas pedals all the way to the floor. The display will show “Service Oil Reset in Progress.” Keep holding the pedals until the reset is complete, which usually takes 10 to 20 seconds.
When the reset is complete, the display will show “Oil Reset Complete.” You can then release the pedals and turn the key off. Verify that the reminder message doesn’t reappear when you turn the key back on.
