Step 1: Remove the Glovebox Assembly
Start by removing the four Phillips head screws that secure the bottom edge of the glovebox assembly. Then, open the glovebox and remove the four Phillips head screws that secure the top edge of the glovebox assembly. Pull the glovebox assembly out of the dash and set it aside.
Step 2: Remove the Old Filter
Pull out the old filter by its top edge to unsnap it from the housing. Lift up on the filter to pull out the tab from the retaining loop at the bottom. The filter must tip up at an angle as it slides out of the housing.
Step 3: Insert the New Filter
Insert the new filter into the housing, tipping it up at an angle as the side of its frame goes through the opening in the filter housing. The bottom edge of the filter will only seat properly when the tab on the filter is inserted into the retaining loop on the filter housing. After the tab is inserted, be sure the top edge of the filter snaps securely into place.
Step 4: Reinstall the Glovebox Assembly
Reinstall the glovebox assembly and then the four screws that secure the top edge of the assembly. Close the glovebox and reinstall the four screws that secure the bottom edge of the assembly.
